Wrought by My Hand Exhibit
This popular is guest-curated by Julianne Mehegan, and the display features twenty-five beautifully crafted embroideries and samplers from the Society’s collection. These remarkable examples of schoolgirl craftwork offer a glimpse into the lives of early American schoolgirls, and the social and artistic expectations citizens of the young American Republic held for their women they would become.
