Battleship Cove is a maritime heritage museum preserving the world’s largest collection of historic naval ships. See how sailors lived and fought for the freedoms we enjoy today and discover how the ship was like a floating city with a post office, soda fountain, brig, sick bay, barber shop, and bakery, to name a few. Explore gun turrets, engine rooms, and view officer’s and crew’s quarters. This unique destination encompasses five National Historic Landmarks, including Battleship Massachusetts, Destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., Submarine Lionfish, two fully restored PT Boats and the largest PT Boat Museum collection in the world. Also, explore the Hiddensee, the world’s only publicly exhibited Soviet-built missile corvette, and our growing aviation collection, including the new Cobra AH-1 Attack Helicopter. Visit our newest exhibit, Women Protecting US dedicated to honoring women’s contributions to America’s national defense. Battleship Cove serves as the Bay State’s official veterans memorial. Expect to spend four to five hours exploring our exhibits.
Conclude your visit with lunch in the Morse Code Galley. Gift Shop. Free on-site parking. Open 362 days a year.
Battleship Cove also includes the Fall River Carousel, fully restored to its original splendor of its early days at the historic Lincoln Park.
