Don and John - Lasting Impressions
Inspired by the Impressionists, Don Dacier's primary focus over the years has been on plein air painting-painting outdoors. Whether landscape, still life, figure, or abstract, he uses color, texture and imagination to evoke the beauty in and around him. Combined with fine art studies at the MFA School, Mass. College of Art, and the Art Institute of Boston, Don's experience as a technical illustrator has enhanced his ability to convey his vision onto the canvas. His oil paintings reside in collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. Long-time Hanover resident, John Nutter earned his BA at Bridgewater State College with a concentration in fine arts. He enrolled in a pastel class with North River Art Society instructor Liz Haywood-Sullivan, and also completed a workshop given by Albert Handell and Anita Louise West. John is a member of numerous art organizations, and his works have won a number of awards. Show runs November 19-January 12
