FALLOUT: The Police Experience was formed by David Rasner, (Sting), in the fall of 2002, in Hollywood, California. FALL OUT was the first single The Police, (unsigned, unknown, and without a record), released. Only after finding Mike Nieland, (Stewart), and then Pat Cherry, (Andy), the band began to transform itself into a fighting unit, and within a year were playing every major club in Los Angeles. Uncle Ian Copeland met FALLOUT in 2002 and immediately befriended the band. He invited FALLOUT to play at The Backstage Café and arranged the meeting with Stewart. FALLOUT: The Police Experience was added to Coda Agency/The Copeland Group live roster in March of 2005. In the spring of 2006, Jimbo Head replaced Pat Cherry as guitarist for FALLOUT. On February 10, 2007 Miles Copeland held auditions to find the best Sting, Stewart, and Andy in the world for his official Police tribute band project. Drumming phenom Marco Minnemann accidentally waltzed into auditions, and after an astounding exhibition of Stewart style pounding, became part of the roster for THE POLICE EXPERIENCE, the name Miles' would give his official Police tribute band project. All of the members of FALLOUT were added to the roster as well, and so, FALLOUT became The Police Experience.

A 15 piece Marley musical colossus! This ensemble hails from a one-of-a-kind class offered at one of the world's best music schools (Berklee College of Music). The ensemble plays exciting arrangements of Marley's music with 3 horns, 4 vocalists, 2 keyboardists, 2 guitarists, bass, drums and 2 percussionists. Don't miss this group of up-and-coming talented young musicians as they pour all their hearts and souls into the music of our beloved Bob Marley!

Now in its 6th year at Berklee, the Music and Life of Bob Marley class, taught by assistant professor (piano) Matt Jenson, has been delivering a high quality musical and academic experience to each student who has been accepted into the class. Students not only play arrangements of Marley's music but they learn about Marley's amazing life and how his life as a conscious raising artist, dedicated to raising up the downtrodden of the world, deeply affected all of his music.

The sound of this group is aiming to replicate Marley's band in its fullest capacity. He often recorded with 2-3 guitar, 3 horns, 3 back up singers, 2 percussionists, bass and drums, but rarely toured with such a large group. Matt Jenson has written arrangements for the group that while sticking to Marley's original tracks, ventures in to related territory with added horn parts, intro's and endings. This semester we're doing a Fela Kuti groove inspired version of "Could You Be Loved."

This is one of Berklee's leading student ensembles and performs internationally for the public. Last summer the ensemble played at the Montreal International Reggae Festival and the Vermont Reggae Festival.

HowieHowie, newly regrouped with members of the legendary Test Tube Babies. Drawing on the rich Babies catalogue and high energy show, plus new powerful, message-driven tunes, Howiehowie is back with original Babies members and their trademark "urgent sound" - and they’re not taking any prisoners!

From the early 70’s into the 80’s, The Test Tube Babies made some of the hottest early punk music of their day. Some of rock’s best know players honed their chops with stints in the Babies - on tour and in the studio.

Known for their refreshing mixture of melodic, straight ahead, edgy pop and punk, and screeching guitar solos layered on churning, tribal-like tunes with no holds barred anti-establishment messages, The Test Tube Babies made their mark throughout the East Coast and Canada.

Howie’s roster has included founding members of the Blue Oyster Cult, Susie Ronson, Mick Ronson’s (Bowie's band) wife, A.J. Mazetti, who played drums with Flock of Seagulls, Gary Window, who played sax with Psychedelic Furs; and he’s produced records (and played with) Noel Redding (Hendrix bass player) and Corky Laing (Mountain), among many others.

Now, founder and songwriter Howie has recaptured that energy with a collection of outstanding young musicians from the renowned Berklee School of Music, to take it to the next level. New Tunes - Hot Young Players - and a show that never lets up!

HowieHowie features the musical quality and sense of urgency that propelled the Babies to the front lines in the war on complacency. The Band:

Howie: Lead vocals, rhythm guitar.
Freddy Reynoso: Bass. Hailing from an exotic region of Mexico, Freddy’s steady backbeat layered with textured rhythms keeps Howiehowie on track.
Angelo Caputo: Drums. A native New Yorker, Angelo is always at home behind his skins, where he pounds out the beat like a freight train on a mission.
Joe Feloni: Rhythm, lead guitar, background vocals. Joe has already made a mark for himself, being compared to Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana and Steve Vai . Joe’s mesmerizing rapid-fire guitar solos, captivate audiences and never let go. His thick, rich power chords, envelope the listener until there is no where to go but in… When Joe leaves the stage for his legendary guitar solo ‘walkabouts’, no one is safe… and no one wants to be.

Fresh from their triumph as finalists in Boston’s 2005 Battle of The Bands, Howiehowie is primed, ready to rock and heading your way.

New England Conservancy Community Gospel Chorus

PERFORMANCE:
CANCELLED

Community Collaborations has successfully tapped into a tremendous interest at NEC (among students and staff) in having a first-rate Gospel Chorus.

The group was formed in 1993 and follows a traditional African-American southern-based aesthetic, as well as an evolved urban-based contemporary repertoire. The chorus’s entire musical stance is rooted in Gospel as a grand celebration of the human spirit, rather than as simply artistic performance or entertainment.

The choir is unique because it is comprised of NEC students as well as people from the greater Boston area. Currently under the direction of Donnell Patterson, the chorus has performed annually for the last 12 years at NEC’s Thomas A. Dorsey Gospel Jubilee.

Additionally, the chorus has been engaged to sing at Trinity Church, the United House of Prayer For All People, the Mayor’s Office for Cultural Affairs, Arts in the Park, the St. John’s (Beverly Farms) concert series, the Company Theatre (Norwell), Mass. Council of Churches, Bridging Worlds Festival of the Arts, Boston University, University of the West Indies, William Knibb Baptist Church (Jamaica), and in many other venues throughout greater Boston.
