The Jenney Grist Mill is a living history museum on the site of the original mill built in 1636 by Pilgrim John Jenney. Step back in time as you enter this charming mill where you will meet the miller. Visitors can take a guided tour of the mill and see the huge water wheel turn the grinding stones. On Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. there is a corn-grinding exhibit where visitors can see how the Pilgrims ground whole corn into cornmeal. On either tour you will hear stories from the past that will delight and amaze both young and old. Rediscover the history of the Pilgrims and find out how important the mill was to their survival. On site is a gift shop and ice cream shop. Your visit to Plymouth would not be complete without a stop at the Jenney Grist Mill. Open April to November.
