Flax Pond Cranberry Co. is a 100-acre family farm, owned and operated by Jack and Dorothy Angley. The property, which was purchased in 1967, consists of 34 acres of producing cranberry bogs, a 10-acre pond, 40 acres of woodland (including 4,000 Fraser Fir Christmas trees), and 20 acres of reservoir. The cranberry bogs have been in production since the early 1890s and today produce 150 to 200 barrels per acre (in a good year) of fresh fruit for Ocean Spray Cranberries. Heritage Museums & Gardens opens its annual, highly anticipated family holiday event, Gardens Aglow, with treasured favorite indoor and outdoor activities—and new ones as well. Feel like a kid again with free rides on a vintage carousel. Marvel at more than 10 miles of holiday lights throughout the gardens and grounds. Sit with Santa and give him your wish list in a 1913 Ford Model T, then help him find his reindeer on a scavenger hunt through the gardens. Enjoy a model train display, nightly performances at 6:30 pm, and a special exhibit of Currier & Ives winter scenes. Watch live ice sculpting demonstrations every Saturday and then cozy up to fire pits and roast marshmallows. Hot drinks and treats are also available at Magnolia Café! Garden's Aglow at Heritage Museum

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from November 24 through December 30, join us for the celebration of lights that has become a treasured holiday tradition. In addition to the beautiful light displays throughout the gardens, the event features nightly performances at 6:30 pm in the Automobile Gallery. St. Nick will hold court in the 1913 Model T Ford. Families can view a stunning model train display and create a craft together to take home. People of all ages can take a spin (or two) on the vintage carousel and roast marshmallows together at the fire pits. On Saturdays, Chip Koser of South Cape Ice Sculptures will demonstrate ice carving, giving visitors the opportunity to see an ice sculpture created right before their eyes, and to take their photos with the sculptures. Annual Christmas in the Parks

Join us for our Annual Christmas in the Parks event on at The Pier View Restaurant, located at 201 Onset Ave in Onset and also at the Onset Fire Station, 5 East Central Ave, behind the Onset Village Market.
Beginning at Noon, Santa will arrive by fire truck and meet the children at the Onset Fire House for hot chocolate, goodies and take time to hear what they would like for Christmas. Noon-3:00pm.

The Middleborough (MA) Tourism Committee is pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Festival of Lights will be held Saturday, December 9th, Sunday December 10th, Saturday, December 16th and Sunday December 17th from 4 - 9pm at the KOA Campground. Drive through and see hundreds of thousands of light and then park and take a walk through Santa's Village where you can get your picture taken with Santa or The Grinch (from 5pm-8pm daily, only $5), purchase cocoa, cookies from Battistini's, check out Oak Point's Model Train display, and visit the alpacas!

Forefather's Day Dinner

The Pilgrim Society's members and members of the public are invited to attend the main event, the Forefathers Day Dinner at the Hotel 1620 at Plymouth Harbor, 180 Water Street, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar and the traditional succotash. Dinner will be served at 6:30, followed by a short program to be announced.

Forefather's Day Parade

Friday, December 22, 2017 - 5:45am

The Old Colony Club's Forefather’s Day Parade and the 248th celebration of the landing of the Pilgrims begins at 5:45am at the Old Colony Club, 25 Court Street to North Street on to Cole’s Hill

Reading of the Mayflower Compact, Proclamations and Benediction in honor of Plymouth’s Forefathers, followed by The Old Colony Artillery Company cannon firing.

Parade resumes marching up Leyden Street to Court Street and returns to The Old Colony Club.
