Bettyann's Cranberry Harvest Step-On Tours

Fall Bog Tours | Bus Step-On Guide

Bettyann offers step-on bus tours and cranberry bog tours daily, mid-September through the end of October (Mother Nature permitting). Daily tours begin in the morning at Visitor Information Center, continuing throughout the day until the loss of daylight prevents any further viewing. All the bogs she visits are working cranberry bogs, so due to the farmers' busy schedules, tours times vary depending on when the farmers will be working. Each tour lasts between 1 ½ to 2 hours, depending on the distance Bettyann has to drive to the bogs. With early fall being one of the most beautiful times of the year here in Southeastern Massachusetts, you are urged to bring a camera. The photo opportunities are endless!  Arrangements for private tours and special times can be made upon request. Read more about Bettyann's Cranberry Harvest Step-On Tours

Walking Tour of Mattapoisett Waterfront

Saturday, August 1, 2015 - 2:00pm

Long before the English first began to settle New England, Mattapoisett was already home to summer residents:  Native Americans who used the heads of the harbors as their summer villages. The name Mattapoisett comes from the Wampanoag name for this scenic harbor, and is interpreted: Place of Rest. In its day, Mattapoisett was the most famous whaleship building port in the world.

Learn about the little town that built the whalers for Nantucket and New Bedford and explore the waterfront streets and wharves where the action took place. Read more about Walking Tour of Mattapoisett Waterfront
