April School Vacation Week in Plymouth County

Liberty Week at Battleship Cove

Discover a Sailor's life at Battleship Cove and the Maritime Museum, and enjoy some "liberty" during School Vacation Week April 15-19th. Liberty is a term used by the US Navy to describe time off. During Battleship Cove Liberty Week, the Demonstration Station, funded by the Yawkey Foundation, will be out all week with fun activities and incredible objects from WWII and maritime history. April Vacation Week Adventures

Tuesday, April 16, 2019 to Friday, April 19, 2019

9am-3pm daily. School may be closed, but nature’s playground is wide open! Let's spend time prowling the trails and ponds to look for migrating birds and budding plant life; getting our hands dirty; and enjoying some nature crafts, games, and experiments.  (ages 6-12) . Each day has a different seasonal theme, and you can join us for indvidual days or the whole week. Registration is open now, and these vacation week programs often fill early. Families, anglers and other are invited to celebrate school vacation week and help the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) stock trout. Meet a fish stocking truck and release some trout for future fishing opportunities! See trout up close and find out about other places to fish near you. Nearly 500,000 trout will be stocked across the state this spring. Meeting time is approximate, as there can be unforeseen delays at other stocking locations. This is a rain or shine event.
