Join expeditioner Doug Lowry for this hands-on workshop teaching skills helpful for leading successful field trips and events. Whether you’re a beginner or veteran, leading a two-hour walk or a multi-day foray, everyone will benefit from learning the key aspects of designing and implementing successful outings.

Material covered will include briefing participants, setting the tone, leadership styles and tools, risk management, communication, conflict management, team-building, debriefing, and strategies for determining your strongest skills as well as those that may need refining. Though we won’t specifically cover the unique challenges of boating and paddling trips, there will be plenty of management skills discussed that can be directly related to all types of excursions.

While there is no charge for the workshop, preregistration is required. Visit the weblink to register or for more information.
