In The Return of the Moguls: How Jeff Bezos and John Henry are Remaking Newspapers for the Twenty-First Century, Dan Kennedy tells the story of how, over the course of a generation, the daily newspaper has seen an unchecked slide from record profitability and readership to plummeting profits and increasing irrelevance. The newspaper business is at a perilous crossroads. This essential book explains why, and how today’s new crop of media moguls might help it to survive. Mr. Kennedy will speak about his book at the third program of the Fall Author Talks.

Dan Kennedy is an associate professor of journalism at Northeastern University and a nationally known media commentator who writes for WGBHNews.org, the Nieman Journalism Lab and other publications. He is a regular panelist on WGBH-TV’s Beat the Press. He is the author of The Wired City.

Light refreshments will be offered, and although the program is free, registration is requested.  For more information or to register, visit the library’s online calendar on the weblink, or call the Library at 781-585-0517 or the Kingston Council on Aging at 781-585-0512.
