Phone: 508-830-4250

Saturday, November 9, 2019 - 10:00am to 3:00pm

The Mass. Memories Road Show staff and volunteers will be on hand to scan family and community photographs, as well as record the "stories behind the photos." People who have lived, worked or visited Plymouth will be invited to bring in 3 photos which will be scanned and copied, and become part of a state-wide digital collection as well as a second collection available on the Plymouth Public Library's website.

The Mass. Memories Road Show (MMRS) at UMass Boston is an event-based public history project that digitizes family photos and memories shared by the people of Massachusetts. University Archives staff work with local planning teams to organize free public events where residents are invited to bring family photos to be scanned and included in this digital archive. Contributors are invited to share “the story behind the photos” on video, have their own “keepsake photo” taken, and receive advice from professional archivists and historians on dating and caring for their family photos.

No Registration required for this Free community program hosted by the Plymouth Public LIbrary. The Library is fully accessible. Please let us know if you need special accommodations to attend.
