Pilgrim Progress, held on the first four fridays during the month of August, is a unique cultural tradition in Plymouth. Local citizens and their guests from all walks of life organize and dress as Pilgrims and re-create the Pilgrims' procession to church. The number of persons, their sexes and ages are matched to the small group of Pilgrims who survived the first winter in the New World. Their procession begins at the Mayflower Society House on North Street, moving down Water Street (passing Plymouth Rock), up Leyden Street to Town Square, then up to Burial Hill.Read more

Paragon Carousel is participating in the annual Free Fun Fridays program sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation.
The Carousel has been operating along the shores of beautiful Nantasket Beach Reservation for more than 80 years. Built in 1928 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, it boasts four rows of 66 intricately carved horses and two rare Roman chariots. It is decorated with 35 original paintings, 36 cherubs and 18 goddesses who look down while a Wurlitzer Band Organ fills the air with music.

Each year, with the help of many volunteers, the Scituate Chamber of Commerce proudly presents Scituate Heritage Days. The annual event combines live music and entertainment, artisan crafts, kid’s activities and historical site visits for one of the South Shore’s biggest and most anticipated outdoor events of the summer.
