Classic Book Club - Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's"

Breakfast at Tiffany's: A Short Novel and Three Stories (1958) brought together the title novella and three shorter tales: "House of Flowers", "A Diamond Guitar" and "A Christmas Memory". The heroine of Breakfast at Tiffany's, Holly Golightly, became one of Capote's best known creations, and the book's prose style prompted Norman Mailer to call Capote "the most perfect writer of my generation".

Author Anthony Sammarco Jordan Marsh: New England’s Largest Store

Founded in 1851 by Eben Dyer Jordan and Benjamin Lloyd Marsh, Jordan Marsh opened their first store selling linen, silk, calicos, ribbons and assorted dry goods to Victorian Bostonians. Following the Civil War, the store moved from Pearl Street to Winthrop Square and later to Washington Street between Summer and Avon Streets where in its new five story building, designed by Bradlee, Winslow & Wetherell, they unveiled the novel concept of “department shopping” under one roof.

Loudon Wainwright III at the Spire Center

September 2018, Loudon releases his 27th career album to-date, Years In The Making, a retrospective double CD with more than 45 tracks – live performances, demos, outtakes, unreleased songs spanning 50 years.
