Walk Through Time for Charity

Monday, June 1, 2020 - 7:00pm

On the first Monday of each month, May - October, enjoy our Hometown Heroes tour for a minimum donation of $10. This is a 90 minute walking tour of Downtown Plymouth covering the early days of the colony and Plymouth’s contribution to the War for Independence. All profits go to a different local charity each month.

Huntington’s disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. Experience the surface design technique of shibori, and create unique patterns on fabric using the natural dye indigo. Shibori, or physical resist, has been a traditional pattern-making technique in Japan, India, Africa throughout history, and continues today. We will begin experimenting with Japanese approaches such as Kumo (binding), Ori-Nui (stitching), Itajime (clamping) and Arashi (pole wrapping).
