The “Our Story: 400 Years of Wampanoag History" exhibit will be on display at the Historical Nathaniel Thomas Mill in Hanson from August 2-31. The exhibit is the first of many events that the Town of Hanson 200th Anniversary Committee is hosting to enlighten the residents of the history of Hanson. In 1662, Major Josiah Winslow of Marshfield and 34 others purchased most of what is now Hanson and part of Pembroke from the Wampanoag tribe. The town will be commemorating their 200th anniversary in 2020.
