Thursday, May 10, 2018 - 7:00pm

Do you love reading classics?  Have you been looking for a book discussion group to join? We read and discuss novels from the twentieth century and earlier, focusing on novels and authors that have stood the test of time. Some of the classics we read are popular while others are more unconventional and unfamiliar.

Our next meeting is Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Manomet Branch Library, 12 Strand Avenue, featuring a discussion of the novel, The Stories of John Cheever by John Cheever. We have selected the following stories: “Goodbye, My Brother”, “The Enormous Radio”, “The Sorrows of Gin”, “The Day the Pig Fell into the Well”, “The Five-Forty-Eight”, “The Country Husband”, “The Brigadier and the Golf Widow”, “The Swimmer”, “The Jewels of the Cabots”.

The program is free and requires no registration. For more information about this event, contact the Manomet Branch Librarian at (508) 830-4185, email to jenniferj@ocln.org or visit the library’s web site, www.plymouthpubliclibrary.org, for a complete list of events.  The library is fully accessible; please let us know if you need special accommodations to attend.
