Hike Plymouth! Hiking Books
In addition to the historical sites, Plymouth and the South Shore are peppered with scenic ponds, pine forests, pine barrens, cranberry bogs, and beaches. Hiking trails crisscross many areas. Especially noteworthy are Myles Standish State Forest, southwest of Plymouth, and the Pine Hills, southern Plymouth, which includes the highest point, 395 ft., in Plymouth County. This book series book gives directions with a GPS address, features, difficulty, instructions, and Google map with the hike overlaid. Many of the hikes include historical or descriptive background material on the features of the hike.
Many of the Plymouth beaches and parks are included in the books. Hikes range from 2 to 6 miles and many are suitable for children.
The books are available in the Plymouth, MA Visitor Centers or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
